Job summary

James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd in partnership with a Southwest London university is seeking a Post-Award Specialist (Research/Grants) on a temporary contract starting immediately and running through December 2026. The role involves managing post-award admin for research grants and using Agresso (Unit4 ERP).

You will support academics and project teams, ensure funder compliance, monitor budgets, process transactions, and produce financial reports.

Qualifications

• Post-award administration experience for research grants.
• Experience using Agresso (Unit4 ERP) is required.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage post-award administration of research grants ensuring compliance with funder regulations and organisational policies.
• Maintain grant finances using Agresso (Unit4 ERP), process transactions, monitor budgets, reconcile accounts, and produce financial reports.
• Prioritize a varied workload, manage multiple deadlines with accuracy and timely delivery.
• Resolve queries and financial issues proactively, escalating when needed and contributing to process improvements.
• Provide clear financial advice and support to academics, project teams, finance colleagues, and external funding bodies.

Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a university based in Southwest London, who are recruiting for a Post-Award Specialist (Research/Grants) on a temporary contract. The position is due to start immediately and will carry through until December 2026. The daily rate of pay is up to £200 via an umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have used the Agresso system previously, have extensive and recent post-award experience and be available to start ASAP.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Manage the post-award administration of research grants, ensuring compliance with funder regulations, reporting requirements, and organisational policies
• Maintain grant finances using Agresso (Unit4 ERP), including processing transactions, monitoring budgets, reconciling accounts, and producing financial reports
• Prioritise a varied workload, managing multiple deadlines while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of work
• Resolve queries and financial issues proactively, escalating where appropriate and contributing to process improvements
• Provide clear financial advice and support to academics, project teams, finance colleagues, and external funding bodies, building effective working relationships
