A regional healthcare provider in Liverpool seeks a Post Anaesthetic Care Practitioner to support patients in recovery. The role involves caring for up to eighteen patients, with responsibilities including admissions and discharges, assisting during shortages, and engaging in flexible shift patterns. Applicants must be registered nurses or ODPs with a commitment to patient care and teamwork.

Main theatre recovery Unit is situated within the theatre suite and caters for up to eighteen immediate post‑operative patients at any one time. We also provide cover on the New Clatterbridge Cancer Centre to which the Recovery staff rotate.
The current staff are all highly skilled recovery practitioners responsible for the safe admission, care and discharge of all patients from the variety of disciplines to destinations such as Theatre Admission Unit, wards within the hospital and critical care.
We work very closely with the Theatre Admission Unit. Staff may be expected to support the unit in times of staff shortage.
Full training will be given and the successful candidate will achieve their competencies under the guidance of an experienced recovery practitioner acting as a pre‑ceptor.
Recovery works 24/7; applications must be aware of a variety of shift patterns, including out of hour services. Applicants will be required to work in a flexible working pattern to meet the need of the service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to work within our busy theatres complex. This Band 5 Staff Nurse will support up to eighteen immediate post‑operative patients, recovering all patients from day case to level 2 critical care. The band 5 staff nurse will also provide cover for the New Clatterbridge Cancer Centre each week.
