The Role

As a Face-to-Face Interpreter, you’ll play a crucial role in enabling communication between people who do not share the same language. You’ll interpret spoken or signed statements in settings such as healthcare, legal proceedings, local government, and more.

Your Duties Will Include

• Interpret conversations for individuals accessing public services (e.g., legal, health, and local authority services)
• Ensure clarity and understanding after each statement or question
• Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Act as a liaison between service users and service providers

Common Settings You May Work In

• Hospitals, clinics, and GP surgeries
• Social care and child welfare meetings
• Schools and other educational institutions
• Legal appointments and court sessions

What We’re Looking For

• Fluency in English and at least one other language
