Qualifications

  • Previous experience managing residential properties – preferably portfolios of more than 500 properties.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver good outcomes for tenants and the business.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, administrative and IT skills.

Portfolio Risk Manager – 12 Month Maternity Contract

Salary: c. £35,700 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: 12 Month Contract
Location: Hybrid (Office: West Bromwich)


We are looking for a Portfolio Risk Manager to support our West Brom Homes team on a 12 month contract. To support the portfolio of over 800 residential properties in the private rental sector, you will manage risks associated with the property portfolio, governance of the relationship with the outsourced managing agent and work on ESG initiatives.


Responsibilities


  • Proactively identify and manage the risks associated with over 800 properties.

  • Monitor property conditions and implement the rolling plan of proactive repairs and maintenance.

  • Address emerging risks, conduct root‑cause analysis and propose process improvements.

  • Assist with complex property issues and act as the mandate holder for repairs and maintenance work.

  • Support directors and the wider team in managing the relationship with outsourced managing agents and the property disposal and acquisition process.

  • Act as key stakeholder at the Management Review Board, create regular management information and prepare and present board papers where necessary.


Qualifications


  • Previous experience managing residential properties – preferably portfolios of more than 500 properties.

  • Suitable qualifications in residential property management and lettings (e.g. CeLAP, NRLA Level 3, IRPM Level 3 or equivalent).

  • Ability to work independently and deliver good outcomes for tenants and the business.

  • Excellent planning, organisation, administrative and IT skills.
