Job description

The Portfolio Marketing Manager in Brighton is a critical role within Nightcap Group. The portfolio includes Brighton i360, a major attraction, and Drift Bar and Kitchen, a beachside restaurant and bar on the West Pier. You will be the sole person responsible for driving footfall, lead generation and online bookings through multichannel OESP marketing aimed at new and existing visitors in Brighton. You will be the driving force behind measurable local results, delivering across every touchpoint from in venue branding, content and PR through to digital campaigns and organic local search. The role suits a generalist who can organise and direct agencies and in house specialists to meet the needs of the venues. You will work closely with commercial, sales and ticketing teams to define, shape and execute the proposition, ensuring every department is aligned. You are not expected to have hands on expertise in every channel, but you must be a doer who is comfortable getting stuck in. This means being able to roll up your sleeves and drive progress each day, whether that involves working in Adobe or Canva, using the CRM and ESP to build and send marketing emails, or managing daily social media content and community engagement. You should feel confident and take pride in joining up the full marketing mix to create clear, consistent and measurable activity. Success in this role comes from strong briefing, constructive challenge and confident guidance across both agencies and internal teams. With the support of a small, high performing central marketing team and a trusted network of specialist agencies, you will have access to strong strategic and delivery resources. The focus is on your ability to organise, implement, evaluate and adapt, using data and insights to inform decisions and maximise impact. Experience managing external partners and extracting value from agency relationships is essential, as is the ability to balance local execution with wider group priorities.

  • Plan and deliver local marketing campaigns on site five days a week, driving footfall, increasing bookings and growing brand awareness. This includes activating supplier and commercial partner initiatives at venue level, with occasional weekend support during key events.
  • Execute integrated campaigns across digital and traditional channels, including paid social, email, listings, local search, print, signage and in venue activity, ensuring every execution reflects the needs of the Brighton market. Coordinate and deliver venue led social content that supports wider content and engagement goals, capturing activity on site and responding in real time to build momentum.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local influencers, press and event partners, ensuring the venues are consistently visible, relevant and represented across Brighton's cultural and hospitality landscape.
  • Manage the planning, creation and timely distribution of venue specific marketing materials, including posters, menus and signage, ensuring all assets are on brand, impactful and tailored to each location.
  • Use marketing technology and data insights to elevate local performance, applying search trend analysis, CRM segmentation and listings platforms to increase visibility, engagement and conversion.
  • Be passionate about data and accountable for performance, reporting regularly on results and driving data informed regional decisions that improve both venues' commercial outcomes. Recent and proven experience with attractions, ticketed events or restaurant brands, supported by a portfolio or presentation.
  • Track record delivering venue specific and regional campaigns that drive footfall, bookings and local engagement within a central marketing structure.
  • Experience working within an agency or managing agency partners, particularly in digital and creative disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of localised digital marketing, including advertising, UTM parameters, Google Analytics, marketing technology platforms and attribution principles.
Behaviours
  • Enjoys being hands on, blending creative thinking, data use and project management.
  • Organised, tactical and results focused, with a strong ability to execute local marketing activity.
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with commercial teams, local partners and suppliers.
  • Adaptable and comfortable managing multiple venues, priorities and deadlines.
  • Clear and confident communicator, ensuring collaborative working across departments.
