Job summary

Adecco is recruiting a Portfolio Manager in Warwick on a 6-month contract to shape and manage a portfolio of security investments across a critical infrastructure network. You will coordinate governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment with regulatory and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain ISS portfolio view with accuracy and integrity.
• Lead portfolio-level coordination, identify risks and interdependencies.
• Ensure a clear narrative linking security obligations to investment decisions.
• Advise teams on delivery strategies, funding routes, and governance.
• Coordinate activities across teams to support integrated delivery.
• Monitor progress and assess impact on cost, risk and schedule.
• Coordinate inputs for regulatory funding submissions and investment decisions.
• Maintain portfolio forecasts and analyse investment sequencing.
• Manage reporting, governance and assurance for the ISS programme.
• Produce dashboards and stakeholder reports for transparent communications.
• Act as primary contact for portfolio scope; build cross-functional relationships.
• Represent portfolio in governance forums with clear communication.

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Portfolio Manager to join their Investment Programme. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and managing a long-term portfolio of physical security investments across a critical infrastructure network. The role focuses on portfolio planning, prioritisation, governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement, ensuring investment decisions are aligned with operational, regulatory and strategic objectives. Working closely with technical, commercial and business functions, you will support the coordination and delivery of security-related investment programmes, manage risks and dependencies, provide insight to key decision-makers, and help drive continuous improvement across portfolio processes and ways of working.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management & Prioritisation:

• Own and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the Integrated Security Solutions (ISS) portfolio view.
• Lead portfolio-level coordination, identifying emerging risks, opportunities, and interdependencies.
• Ensure a clear narrative connects security obligations, site risks, regulatory drivers, and investment decisions.

Delivery Strategy & Integration:

• Advise project teams on appropriate delivery strategies, funding routes, and governance requirements.
• Coordinate activities across various teams to support integrated programme delivery.
• Monitor delivery progress and assess impacts on cost, risk, and schedule.

Funding, Regulation & Investment Planning:

• Coordinate inputs for regulatory funding submissions and investment decisions.
• Maintain portfolio forecasts and provide analysis of investment sequencing to support decision-making.

Governance, Reporting & Assurance:

• Manage and enhance reporting, governance, and assurance processes for the ISS programme.
• Produce dashboards and performance reports for stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication.

Stakeholder Engagement & Improvement:

• Act as the primary contact for the assigned portfolio scope, building effective relationships across functions.
• Represent the ISS portfolio in governance forums, ensuring clear and accessible communication.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Relevant engineering, programme, project, asset management, or portfolio management qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
• Strong programme, project, or portfolio management skills, including planning, governance, and risk management.
• Ability to interpret technical, commercial, and regulatory information.

Desirable Attributes:

• Experience within the Electricity Transmission sector or a similar regulated infrastructure environment.
• Project, programme, or portfolio management qualifications are a plus.
• A continuous improvement mindset with a knack for analytical skills and data management.
