A leading health insurance provider in Bournemouth is looking for an experienced professional to lead their Pricing, Underwriting, or Finance team. This role involves managing underwriting performance projections, collaborating across teams, and developing strategic pricing initiatives. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in medical insurance, leadership experience, and excellent analytical skills. Hybrid work is offered, requiring in-office attendance a few days a week.
We’re making a significant investment in pricing capability with a comprehensive pricing transformation programme. This includes the implementation of new pricing software, market-leading modelling, and performance monitoring approaches. Our pricing structure is more aligned to focus on the key disciplines of technical pricing, market pricing and pricing governance. As a result, several vacancies have arisen, with a need for strong data science, actuarial and governance skills.
Do you have an interest in pricing portfolio management? If you have experience leading, developing and motivating a Pricing, Underwriting or Finance team, this could be the role for you. You’ll deliver the portfolio management strategy, through robust underwriting performance projections at a granular level, ensuring incentives and deals add value. You’ll deliver case-by-case pricing and underwriting decision-making in individual and small to medium enterprise (SME) areas, ensuring decisions further optimise portfolio performance. You’ll build relationships with other Pricing teams, Distribution, Servicing, and Finance.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You\'ll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at either our Tunbridge Wells or Bournemouth offices, visiting clients or attending industry events.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
