Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Limited is seeking a skilled Portfolio Analyst in Leicestershire on a hybrid basis, 2 days in the office. The role pays £400 per day inside IR35 and runs for six months.

You will collect, analyse and validate programme data to support reporting, dashboards and decision-making, working with senior stakeholders to track progress and identify risks, issues and dependencies across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience collecting, analysing and presenting complex information.
• Background in PMO, project support, programme management, business analysis or portfolio reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collect, validate and analyse programme and project data to support reporting and decision-making.
• Maintain programme registers, including milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, benefits and actions.
• Produce regular portfolio reports, dashboards, highlight reports and briefing materials for senior stakeholders.
• Identify and escalation data quality issues, missing information, overdue actions and reporting concerns.
• Work with delivery teams to gather accurate information and follow up on outstanding updates.
• Analyse programme progress, risks and benefits to identify trends and potential issues.
• Support planning, mobilisation, assurance activities and programme governance.
• Contribute to improving reporting templates, dashboards and PMO processes.

Portfolio Analyst

Location: Leicestershire (Hybrid - 2 days per week in the office)
Rate: £400 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: 6 months

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Analyst to support major transformation programmes, for a Leicester based company.

You will be responsible for collecting, analysing and validating programme data to support reporting, dashboards, planning and decision-making. Working closely with project teams and senior stakeholders, you will help ensure accurate reporting, track progress and identify risks, issues and dependencies across the portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and detail-oriented professional with experience in PMO, programme support or portfolio reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Requirements

• Experience collecting, analysing and presenting complex information.
• Background in PMO, project support, programme management, business analysis or portfolio reporting.
• Experience maintaining spreadsheets, dashboards, reports, registers and project documentation.
• Working knowledge of RAID, milestones, dependencies, benefits and action tracking.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 skills, including PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and communication skills.
• Experience working with stakeholders to gather information, resolve data gaps and meet reporting deadlines.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience within local government or the public sector.
• Exposure to transformation programmes or large-scale efficiency initiatives.
• Relevant qualifications in project management, programme management, business analysis or portfolio management.
