Job Summary

Choice Facilities Services (based at South Tyneside District Hospital) is on the lookout for a dedicated, dependable and enthusiastic individual to take on the role as a Porter / Driver / Food Service Assistant.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the catering van to deliver meals to our Coffee Shop at Palmer Hospital and to Haven Court.
• Deliver and collect food trolleys by hand to the wards within the hospital.
• Empty food trolleys, wash dishes and clean work areas to maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness.
• Adapt to changing daily service requirements and work in various areas within the department.
• Manage time effectively to meet service deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate flexibility, the ability to manage tasks independently, and work proactively.

Compensation & Working Hours

Post is 24 hours per week, 3 days out of 7, 8 hours per day between 6.30 am and 8.45 pm. Salary starts at £26,101 pro rata plus enhancements for weekend working and bank holidays. Overtime may be available to cover colleagues' absences, however this is not guaranteed.
