Job description

IMMEDIATE START - Our client a large national retailer requires Drivers Mates/Porters to work out of there Distribution Centre on the outskirts of Cambridge City Centre. You will need to be available for an Induction in early October and be able to commit to this role until the end of January at least. Working between Monday and Saturday with a start time of either 6AM or 10.30 AM and the ideal candidate will be happy to cover both these shifts. All shifts are for 11hrs with a 45 minute break so you will be paid for a minimum of 10.25hrs per shift

The role will involve delivery and collection of products to customers across the region. You will be in charge of calling the customer while out on route with an ETA for their delivery and ensuring all the paperwork is in order. Helping the driver with moving large items to the collection address and dealing with any recycling.

The ideal candidate with have a very good standard of English, excellent customer service skills, be able to use a handheld terminal and be able to assist with the delivery of large furniture items and white goods.

Hourly pay rate:

• 06.00 start is £12.45 per hour
• 10.30 start is £12.83 per hour
• £18.68 for hours worked over 41hrs
