Porter/Driver

The closing date is 30 November 2025

We are looking to hire Porters to work over a 24 hour 7 day week within the Portering Service at Fairfield General Hospital.

You will be required to be flexible in your working pattern as you may be required to work evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays. Driving Licence is preferred but not essential for this post.

Main duties of the job
  • You will be required to carry out the full range of portering duties, which may include driving vehicles off and on the site, transfer of patients around the site by wheelchair, trolley or bed, including deceased patients and all associated mortuary duties.
  • You may also be required to transfer medical notes and medical supplies around the hospital site to various wards and departments. Please see job description for full details.
