Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, Eurest, is looking for a dedicated Porter to support daily operations in a busy workplace catering environment in Rotherham. This part-time role covers 21 hours per week with shift patterns 3 out of 7 days, focusing on customer care, cleanliness and assisting across housekeeping, banquet, and front-of-house tasks.

You will need to be a reliable communicator, able to work under pressure, and comfortable taking initiative to help colleagues and guests while maintaining high

Responsibilities

• Assisting in keeping the lobby and other public areas clean and tidy.
• Helping housekeeping, restaurant and banqueting staff to set up rooms or move furniture.
• Handling reception duties such as booking theatre tickets or making restaurant reservations.
• Responding to customer requests as required.
• Running errands.
• Ensuring safety by placing/removing signage for wet floors or hazards.

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Porter to help ensure the smooth running of operations at Eurest on a part time basis, contracted to 21 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in keeping the lobby and other public areas clean and tidy
• Helping housekeeping, restaurant and banqueting staff to set up rooms or move furniture
• Handling certain reception duties, such as booking theatre tickets or making restaurant reservations
• Responding to customer requests where required
• Running errands
• Ensuring the safety of customers by, for instance, placing and removing signage that indicates wet floors or paints
