Job summary

Places for People on-site team is seeking a Porter to help keep the development safe, well-presented and welcoming for residents and visitors. This is a visible, service-focused role supporting site security, safety checks and daily operations.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8.30am–12.30pm (4 hours daily), with duties including assisting residents, coordinating with the House Manager and cleaning teams, and responding to incidents per procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience working in building services such as concierge or caretaking.
• Emergency First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day site security and monitor access.
• Assist health and safety compliance checks across the development.
• Be a visible presence on site and assist residents and visitors when needed.
• Support the on-site cleaning team with additional tasks as directed.
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure accurate information sharing.
• Respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies in line with procedures.
• Contribute to a positive, professional customer experience across the development.
• Provide information to the Property Manager on a daily basis.

We're recruiting for a Porter to join our on-site team, working during the day to help ensure the development remains safe, well-presented and welcoming for residents and visitors.

This is a visible, service-focused role where you'll support site security, carry out health and safety checks, assist residents when needed and work closely with the House Manager, cleaning teams and wider operations colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day running of the site.
