We have an exciting opportunity for a Porter to join our team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, a category B men's Prison located in London.

Salary & Working Hours

Salary: This position is part-time, working 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday mornings only). You will receive an annual salary up to £28,800 per annum pro‑rata, depending on experience.

Key Legal and Security Requirements

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis. Due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main Duties
  • Deal with patients, healthcare colleagues, and other professionals over the phone and face to face, ensuring everyone is working in a tidy healthcare area.
  • Undertake a range of delegated portering duties, including unloading, delivery of stock, and any other general tasks required across Prison Healthcare Service.
  • Promote safe patient care.
  • Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
