An educational institution in Greater London is seeking Porters to ensure the smooth running of its campuses. This full-time role involves assisting with event setups, reporting maintenance issues, and supporting students and staff. Applicants should have experience in a facilities role, knowledge of health and safety regulations, and be proficient in Microsoft applications. A clean driving license is desirable. The position operates on a rota basis with various shifts. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
East Surrey College and John Ruskin College are seeking a number of Porters to join our team and play a key role in the smooth running of our campuses. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contributions will make a real difference.
In this rewarding role, you will assist with setting up and dismantling furniture and equipment for college events whilst monitoring and reporting any maintenance issues to the facilities team. You will work with other staff members and contractors to ensure the college is clean, safe and welcoming. Whilst it is essential to provide support to the college with the setup of events, you will also provide support to students and staff as needed.
The Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of the college's facilities. If you are interested in this position, please indicate your preferred location of work on the application form.
This is a full-time role done on a rota basis, the current shifts are 07:00-15:00, 08:00-16:00, 10:00-18:00 & 14:00-22:00.
