A residential property management company in Westminster is seeking an experienced Porter to join their team. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety and security of residents while providing courteous assistance with luggage and facilities. Key responsibilities include monitoring communal areas, reporting issues, and maintaining written records of incidents. The role requires working bank holidays with an annual leave of 28 days. Lordsgate Properties is the freeholder of North Gate, a mansion block in central St John’s Wood comprising 9 purpose‑built blocks of individual flats. Blocks 1‑7 were constructed in the early 1900s with blocks 8 & 9 added later in the 1930s, and two penthouses were constructed around 2013. In addition to the 159 flats there are 6 surface garages, an underground garage arranged as 26 self‑contained garages, communal gardens, driveways and access ways, boundary walls, gates and entry systems, plant rooms and storage units.
North Gate has a team of porters who work shifts with a weekly average of 43 hours and we are looking for another porter to join our long‑standing team.
North Gate is a happy place to work and live; porters, caretakers, cleaners and security guards all make a significant contribution in creating this atmosphere.
Working closely with the Estate Office and Maintenance colleagues, employees provide a smooth and seamless service to North Gate residents and their visitors.
To achieve this, colleagues should always aim to be polite and respectful of residents, each other, trades and delivery people and anyone else they come into contact with while performing their duties.
Porters wear a uniform and should ensure it is clean and well‑pressed.
Working bank holidays is a non‑negotiable requirement of the role and annual leave is 28 days.
