Haringey Council is recruiting a Portage Visitor to support young children with SEND and their families in the early years. You will visit families in their homes, deliver high-quality Portage support, and build strong relationships to empower parents and carers.
Working within the Early Years Inclusion Team, you will assess needs, coordinate with health and education professionals, maintain records, and help children transition into early years settings while promoting inclusion.

As a Portage Visitor, you will support young children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families to achieve positive outcomes in the early years. You will work in families’ homes, delivering high‑quality Portage support to children under five, building strong relationships with parents and carers, and empowering them with the skills and confidence to support their child’s development.
You will be part of Haringey’s Early Years Inclusion Team within Early Help, Prevention & SEND, working closely with health professionals, early years providers, schools and voluntary organisations to deliver coordinated, holistic support.
