Westray Recruitment Group is seeking Port Vehicle Movement Drivers to move brand-new vehicles from arriving car vessels to designated parking bays in a busy port environment in Redcar, United Kingdom.

Role involves boarding vessels, driving new cars, ensuring cleanliness, wearing PPE, and adhering to safety procedures. Shifts are approximately two 12-hour shifts every 10 days and not guaranteed, with vessel schedules driving work availability.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Have held their licence for a minimum of one year.
• Have no more than six penalty points.
• Be comfortable potentially driving a minibus carrying up to eight passengers.

Responsabilités

• Boarding the car vessel safely and following all port and vessel procedures
• Driving brand-new vehicles from the vessel to designated parking bays
• Manoeuvring and parking vehicles carefully, accurately and efficiently
• Following instructions from supervisors, banksmen and the vessel operations team
• Maintaining exceptional cleanliness and hygiene when entering and operating vehicles
• Wearing all required PPE correctly throughout each shift
• Conducting basic visual checks and reporting any damage or concerns immediately
• Handling vehicle keys in line with agreed procedures
• Potentially driving a minibus carrying up to eight passengers between operational areas
• Supporting the safe and efficient unloading of each vessel
• Following all health and safety, traffic-management and port-security requirements
