Job summary

Stafforce Ports is recruiting Port Operatives to support cargo handling and vessel operations at the Port of Hull. This role covers quayside tasks, gatehouse duties, and general site activities within a busy port environment.

Ideal candidates have port/dock operation experience, sling/banking skills, and the ability to work across days and nights with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in port or dock operations.
• Slinging and banking experience.
• Lashing and rigging containers and cargo.
• Container operations experience.
• Logistics or warehouse environment exposure.
• Industrial cleaning experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or similar industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out slinging and banking duties during vessel operations.
• Supporting container and terminal activities.
• Lashing and rigging containers and cargo.
• Carrying out gatehouse duties and assisting with vehicle movements.
• Completing industrial cleaning and general housekeeping.
• Supporting cargo handling operations.
• Following all site safety procedures and maintaining high operational standards.
• Helping to ensure port and logistics activities run safely and efficiently.

Stafforce Ports are recruiting Port Operatives to support a variety of cargo handling and vessel operations within the Port of Hull. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy port environment, working across quayside and supporting terminal operations. No two days are the same in this varied role, with duties ranging from supporting vessel operations to gatehouse activities and industrial cleaning.

• Supporting container and terminal activities
• Lashing and rigging containers and cargo
• Carrying out gatehouse duties and assisting with vehicle movements

• Supporting cargo handling operations

Skills & Experience

We are interested in candidates with experience in:

full UK driving licence is highly desirable. Holding a licence can also support future career development, including opportunities to train on specialist port equipment, plant and machinery.
