Job summary

Smart 4 EPC is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to support a major port construction project in Immingham. The role involves monitoring compliance with HSE legislation, conducting inspections, risk assessments and audits, and promoting a strong safety culture among contractors and project personnel.

The position requires delivering toolbox talks, investigating incidents, and coordinating with client representatives and regulators to ensure safe work practices and environmental controls on site.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HSE advice and guidance to project management and contractors.
• Monitor construction and marine activities and identify hazards.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Review risk assessments, method statements (JSAs) and Safe Systems of Work.
• Investigate incidents and support corrective actions.
• Lead HSE inductions and toolbox talks.
• Promote positive safety culture and environmental controls.
