Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking a Teacher of Politics for The Bedford Sixth Form in Bedford. The role focusses on delivering engaging A Level Politics teaching, assessing student progress, and contributing to curriculum development across the Sixth Form department.

You will work 37 hours per week for 39 weeks, in a permanent full-time post. Applicants should have a degree in a relevant subject with a recognised teaching qualification and be eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in a relevant subject with a recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching A Level students in a Sixth Form or FE environment.
• Strong English and Maths skills and commitment to professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Politics teaching to Sixth Form students.
• Provide timely assessment and feedback to monitor progress.
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.
• Engage with students, parents and the community to promote the Sixth Form.
• Uphold safeguarding, inclusion and health and safety standards.
