Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Wallingford is seeking a Polisher to join their team. Responsibilities include finishing GRP mouldings, polishing of gel coat surfaces, and identifying defects. Previous experience in detailing and the marine industry is preferred but not essential. This is a permanent role with a competitive salary of £27K yearly, Monday to Friday, with overtime available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of finishing GRP or paint finishes/ detailing.
• Able to work independently or in part of a team.
• Experience within the marine industry is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Finishing of GRP mouldings.
• Trimming, preparation, polishing, gel coat repairs, and assembly.
• Polishing of gel coat surfaces.
• Checking and identifying defects requiring rework.
• Sanding and finishing of cut edges.

The Best Connection are looking for a Polisher to join our leading manufacturing client in Wallingford.

Location

Wallingford

Shift times

• 7.00 am - 15.00 pm
• Monday - Friday

Pay Rate

• £27K yearly
• Overtime available
• X1.3 Monday to Friday
• X1.5 Saturday

Responsibilities of the Polisher

• Finishing of GRP mouldings
• Trimming, preparation, polishing, gel coat repairs and assembly of moulded components.
• Polishing of gel coat surfaces
• Checking and identifying defects requiring rework
• Sanding and finishing of cut edges using abrasive papers

Qualifications and experience required

• Previous experience of finishing GRP or paint finishes/ detailing
• Able to work independently or in part of a team
• Previous experience of working within the marine industry or similar is advantageous but not essential
