myenergi is a fast-growing UK clean-tech manufacturer on a mission to remove the barriers to a greener future. We are most know for our award-winning zappi EV charger, and our home energy management ecosystem which empowers customers to control, store, and optimise their self-generated energy.

We’re shaping the future of smart, flexible homes, working at the forefront of innovation in solar, EV, and battery technology. As our business expands internationally, we’re deepening our engagement with policymakers, regulators, and industry partners to accelerate the transition to a smarter, greener energy system.

Reporting directly to the Chief Innovation Officer, you’ll act as a bridge between government, industry bodies, and myenergi’s product and engineering teams. You’ll develop evidence-based policy positions, respond to consultations, and represent myenergi in key industry forums on topics such as flexibility, interoperability, consumer protection, and clean power.

Responsibilities
  • Policy Strategy & Insight
    1. Monitor UK, EU and Australian policy, regulation, and standards relevant to smart energy, EV charging, battery storage, electric heating and home energy management.

    3. Prepare briefings, position papers, and responses to consultations for UK and EU institutions (e.g. Ofgem, DESNZ, DBT, European Commission).
  • Regulatory Coordination
    1. Support cross-functional teams in understanding emerging compliance requirements (e.g. V2G, Cybersecurity, MID, CSIP-Aus).
    2. Maintain a structured register of relevant consultations, deadlines, and ongoing regulatory commitments.
    3. Liaise with Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to align product roadmaps with future regulation.
  • Stakeholder Management
    1. Build and sustain relationships with policymakers, industry groups, and research partners.
    2. Coordinate myenergi’s participation in roundtables, summits, and public affairs activity.
    3. Act as internal point of contact for all policy and regulatory matters.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong understanding of UK and European energy or clean-tech policy.
  • Experience in energy, clean-tech, or smart energy policy roles, ideally within EV charging, battery storage, or home energy management sectors. Experience in government affairs is valuable but secondary to sector knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with ability to translate complex regulation into compelling narrative.
