Policy, Improvement and Risk Manager (Hybrid) needed in Rotherham, £30.15ph PAYE - Reference: 000A 9436 / 1

This role will ensure that governance processes are robust, risks are effectively managed, and strategic objectives are delivered in line with agreed standards.

  • Corporate Performance Management

    • Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of performance data.
    • Ensure alignment with agreed corporate objectives and delivery of the Plan.
    • Coordinate public performance reporting twice a year and develop reports to track progress against long-term vision.
  • Risk Management

    • Manage the client's approach to strategic risk, including maintaining and reviewing the Strategic Risk Register.
    • Identify and assess risks associated with corporate performance and governance processes.
    • Provide assurance that risk management practices meet required standards.
  • Corporate Governance

    • Ensure compliance with the Code of Corporate Governance and related frameworks.
    • Support the development of the Annual Governance Statement.
    • Maintain corporate assurance processes and audit readiness.
  • Leadership

    • Manage and support a small team (2 direct reports) to deliver performance and risk objectives.
    • Foster collaboration across departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
