Job summary

The Policy Associate role carries substantial responsibilities and opportunities to influence the policy direction of the SRA. You will make an informed contribution to a range of policy projects in consumer policy, and be involved in policy development, delivery and implementation of our policy positions, balancing regulatory burdens with consumer protection.

You will plan, organise and manage work streams in complex, high-stakes policy development projects, applying robust project management

Qualifications

Involves contributing to policy projects in consumer policy.
Requires planning, organisation and management of work streams.
Demonstrates ability to scrutinise policy options and craft innovative solutions.
Engages with stakeholders internally and externally, including at executive level.
Understands range of regulatory tools and importance of evidence bases.

Responsibilities

Contribute to policy development, delivery and implementation of policy positions.
Balance minimising regulatory burdens with protecting consumers from harm.
Apply robust project management techniques in complex projects.
Become an expert on policy issues you encounter and provide rigorous scrutiny.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders at executive levels.
