A local police force in England seeks a Police Staff Investigator to manage serious criminal investigations. Responsibilities include conducting interviews, managing exhibits, and ensuring evidence is preserved. Applicants must have experience in serious crime investigation and be ready to complete necessary accreditation. This role is based at Mansfield Police Station and requires flexibility with shifts and travel.
The police staff investigators PIP 2 role reports to the CID Detective Sergeant. It involves investigating serious and complex crimes, crime series and Coronial investigations into sudden, unexpected or suspicious deaths.

Applicants are not required to be PIP2 accredited but must demonstrate experience in investigating serious crime and must be prepared to pass the National Investigators Exam (NIE) and complete a portfolio to achieve PIP2 accreditation.
