Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience of complex information gathering and problem solving.
• Proven ability to deliver to tight timescales.
• A detailed understanding of the criminal justice system.
• A meticulous and thorough approach to undertaking tasks.
• Hold a PIP1 qualification.
• Experience obtaining witness statements and evidence gathering in accordance with the rules of evidence.
• Experience supporting preparation of case files.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations professionally and ethically.
• Prepare and conduct interviews of suspects.
• Investigate Child Abuse and Domestic Abuse cases.
• Complete risk and impact assessments for victims.
• Work closely with the Victim Care Unit and partner agencies.
• Ensure material is seized and examined according to policy.
• Support and utilize the National Intelligence Model (NIM).
• Work with partner agencies to protect the public.
• Conduct initial investigations at scenes as necessary.
