Job summary

British Transport Police is recruiting Police Officers for the Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP) across multiple locations including Milton Keynes. You’ll train on a two‑year route, joining a supportive team, with opportunities to specialise as your career develops.

Starting salary is competitive with progression to £52,014 after five years; benefits include an Oyster card, generous annual leave, and a strong pension.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English Language and Maths (GCSE C/4 or above) or equivalent.
• Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience, or relevant work experience.
• Policing experience: 12 months+ in roles such as Special Constable, PCSO or staff.

Responsibilities

• Support vulnerable people and manage crises.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies; investigate incidents.
• Protect passengers, railway staff and communities; deter crime.
• Contribute to frontline policing and adapt to diverse situations.
