A regional police authority in the United Kingdom is seeking PCSOs to help maintain community safety and engagement. Successful applicants will receive training in a modern facility and will be involved in patrolling and supporting local neighborhoods. Applicants must have a UK residency of at least three years and a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English. The role requires shift work and a driving licence.
If successful your application will be held in a candidate bank and then progressed in line with the next available cohort. At present the cohorts are planned for February and April 2026 but are subject to availability and timely/satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks.
Please be advised that, should you be successful and receive a place on one of our cohorts, no leave is permitted during the first stage of your training. Once conditionally offered, if you have any pre-booked leave which cannot be rearranged, we may have to withdraw your application or move you back to a later cohort. As a PCSO, you will help to police and protect the quality of life in Nottinghamshire. Working alongside our regular police officers, you will have a key role in making local neighbourhoods safer and through your presence, help the community feel safer. Out on patrol, you will provide a visible reassurance to local people, deterring crime and anti-social behaviour. You will support and engage with local communities, helping to resolve local problems.
As a PCSO with Nottinghamshire Police you will complete your training in our brand new, state of the art Training Centre at our force headquarters, shared with Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue. This is in a fantastic location next to Burntstump Country Park. Within our new building we have a gym, sports hall hosting evening sports activities and a subsidised canteen serving fresh hot and cold food daily.

On successful completion of initial training roles will also include a shift/weekend working allowance of approx. 15.5% shift and 13.29% weekend. 37 hours per week, working various shifts Monday - Sunday (part time/flexible working applications will be considered). You will work rotating shifts after initial training (this includes weekends, nights and bank holidays with a shift pattern over 365/6 days a year)
