A leading NHS Trust in Cambridge is seeking a Quality Lead for its Point of Care Testing service. This role involves ensuring compliance with quality standards and promoting quality within various clinical areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality and risk management, supported by relevant qualifications in Biomedical Science. Point of Care Testing is a vital pathology service across multiple clinical areas of the Trust. Across 25 years the service has continually evolved to meet the changing landscape and needs of the Trust as it expands whilst meeting with clinical service requirements. This means as part of the journey towards Pathology Maturity we aim for UKAS accreditation for the service. We have a need for a permanent dedicated quality role within the team to deliver this aspirational service goal.
We are looking for an experienced Biomedical Scientist with relevant knowledge and skills to join our team in the role of Quality Lead for the this journey and towards the next steps beyond.
You would join an experienced, forward thinking, dynamic, multicultural team with expertise in pre‑analytics and a wide range of POCT devices across multiple disciplines.
