Qualifications

Department: Programmes, Performance & Quality

The PMO Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Programme Office, providing guidance on PMO policies and processes, and creating and implementing project governance standards across the business. This role will collaborate with other H&G UK departments to develop projects and programs that align with the long-term vision of the business.

Key responsibilities:
  • Communicating with stakeholders at multiple levels when completing the local investment request process/ Weekly PRS Reviews.
  • Ensuring all feedback received from region, when submitting Regional investments are responded within the time allocated by the European investment team.
  • To ensure all projects that require status updates attend the monthly steering board meetings, ensuring MOM are shared.
  • Providing guidance to stakeholders on completing documentation required within Projects including: PRS Submissions, Investment Process, BRS/PID Completion.
  • Ensure that projects comply with DHL Polices and Standards.
  • Create/set up teams channels in order to ensure a centralized communication channel for each project ensuring standardization including risk, issue, change and lesson learnt logs are included.
  • Supporting the Project Managers with the tailoring of project documents following the H&G UK programmes team processes.
  • Ensuring all Risk and Issues are correctly logged.
  • To ensure that projects are aligned with DHL objectives in relation to rationales/justification for BCA submissions to support regional guidance, compliance and governance.
  • Support on H&G UK 2025 Masterplan outlining clear priorities to support increasing the Profitable Network.

You’ll bring to this role:
  • Prince 2 qualification and/or Project experience (desirable)
  • Programme planning skills (desirable)
  • Experience in multi-discipline projects management / change management (desirable)
  • Great eye for detail and meticulous planning skills
  • Ability to coordinate tasks to project teams and facilitate flow of work
  • Proven ability in report writing, PowerPoint presentation and ability to prepare analytical reports highlighting and interpreting key business information
  • Good communication skills in the areas of presentation, negotiating and influencing
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • A safety first attitude. You must conduct yourself in an orderly manner within the workplace, ensuring that correct uniform and PPE is worn when required.
