Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Governance & Control Framework
  • Support the Portfolio Director in maintaining the governance structure for the Portfolio, ensuring alignment with M&G’s Change Management Framework and Standards.
  • Support the Portfolio Director and Programme Managers in preparing and maintaining governance packs and meeting outputs for SteerCos and assurance forums.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submissions to governance bodies.
Delivery Oversight & Outcome Tracking
  • Monitor delivery progress across programmes and projects, ensuring milestones, dependencies, and benefits are clearly defined and tracked.
  • Provide challenge and support to Programme Managers and Project Managers on delivery plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and business outcomes.
Financial Management & Insight
  • Ensure robust financial governance across the Portfolio, including monthly cost tracking and forecast vs actuals.
  • Support Statements of Work and third-party cost processes, ensuring compliance and transparency.
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure financial reporting supports decision-making.
Resource Management
  • Monitor and support resource planning across the Portfolio, including demand tracking, capacity analysis, and resource constraints.
  • Ensure ServiceNow resource plans are maintained and accurate.
RAID Management
  • Ensure risks, issues, actions, and dependencies are logged, maintained, and escalated appropriately using ServiceNow and RAID dashboards.
  • Support the Portfolio Director, Programme Managers and Project Managers in identifying and managing delivery risks and blockers.
Reporting & Insight
  • Produce and maintain Portfolio-level reporting packs, dashboards, and insights for governance forums and senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure reporting templates meet Transformation Office standards and support storytelling around delivery performance.
  • Work with Portfolio Directors and the Data, Reporting & Insights team to embed OKR’s into reporting, dashboards, and performance reviews.
  • Track and report on OKRs, delivery metrics, and benefit realisation across the Portfolio.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in PMO within a change or transformation environment, ideally in financial services.
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks, portfolio management, and delivery controls.
  • Proficiency in JIRA, ServiceNow and MS Office suite.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to work across agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
