NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a PMO Lead to join our Supply Chain Modernisation Programme during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.

The PMO Lead will lead the Programme Management Office for the NHS Supply Chain Modernisation Programme, ensuring robust governance, delivery assurance, and alignment with programme objectives. This role provides oversight across multiple projects within the programme and drives consistency, transparency, and efficiency in programme delivery.

Every day you will …
  • Establish and maintain PMO frameworks aligned with NHS SC and programme governance requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with programme standards, reporting protocols, and quality assurance.
  • Monitor progress, risks, and issues across all projects within the programme; provide consolidated reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage interdependencies and elevate critical risks to programme leadership.
  • Oversee resource allocation and capacity planning across projects within the programme.
  • Act as a key liaison between programme leadership and project managers.
  • Drive improvements in programme delivery processes, tools, and templates.
  • Embed lessons learned and best practices across the programme.
  • Lead and mentor PMO managers.
  • Provide training and guidance to project managers on PMO standards
