Job summary

A leading underwriting firm in Greater London seeks an experienced PMO Lead for a 12-month fixed-term contract. Job description

We have the opportunity for a PMO Lead to join our Business Transformation Group (BTG) on a 12-month fixed-term contract here at Tokio Marine Kiln.

Reporting into the Head of Project Delivery, you will play a key role in managing portfolio governance, financial oversight, and resource planning across a diverse range of projects and programmes. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery and compliance with internal standards.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the Project Management Office and managing a team of two.
  • Driving portfolio governance aligned to TMK’s Project Delivery Framework.
  • Managing portfolio financial processes and reporting.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for project and business colleagues, providing guidance on methodology, tools, and governance.
  • Coordinating resource planning with IT, Data Ops, and InfoSec teams.
  • Preparing reporting packs for monthly Change Group meetings and senior committees.
  • Collaborating with Risk Management and Internal Audit to ensure compliance with governance standards.
  • Overseeing contract resource processes, invoice management, and business continuity frameworks.
The successful candidate will have:
  • Experience managing a PMO function with strong knowledge of project and programme methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Minimum of two years’ experience; P3O qualification preferred.
  • Proven people management skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting portfolio matters.
  • Adaptable approach to governance based on risk profile.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
