Job summary

La Fosse is seeking an experienced PMO Lead to establish and run a technology and product PMO for a global tech organisation (~700 staff). The role combines hands-on delivery with strategy, and starts with some onsite presence in Oxfordshire before moving to remote work.

You will work closely with the CTO, CPO and senior leaders to improve visibility, governance and reporting across the technology portfolio, driving efficiency and informed decision-making at executive level.

Qualifications

• Experience establishing or resetting a PMO to deliver outcomes.
• Strong technology/product portfolio experience including Azure DevOps.
• Excellent portfolio governance and delivery assurance capability.
• Experience with resource/capacity planning and project financials.
• Confident with CTO, CPO and Board-level stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills and autonomous working style.

• Provide portfolio-level oversight across milestones, RAID, dependencies and delivery health.
• Develop visibility of resource demand, capacity and utilisation.
• Track budgets, forecasts, costs and benefits with Finance.
• Produce concise, decision-focused reporting for executives and Board.
• Challenge Project Managers and drive consistent reporting with no direct line authority.
• Improve and automate portfolio reporting and processes.

PMO Lead - £85,000 - Setting up PMO function - Remote

We are looking for an experienced PMO Lead to establish and run a technology and product PMO for a global technology organisation - circa 700 employees.

The role will require some onsite presence to begin with in Oxfordshire to establish relationships and then can develop to fully remote.

This is a hands-on, autonomous role where you’ll work closely with the CTO, CPO, Project Managers and senior leadership, creating greater visibility and control across the technology portfolio.

Key responsibilities:

• Establish and continuously improve the PMO framework, governance and reporting


• Provide portfolio-level oversight across milestones, RAID, dependencies and delivery health


• Develop visibility of resource demand, capacity and utilisation


• Track budgets, forecasts, costs and benefits alongside Finance


• Produce concise, decision-focused reporting for executive and Board audiences


• Challenge Project Managers constructively and drive consistent reporting without direct line authority


• Improve and automate portfolio reporting and processes

What we’re looking for:

• Experience establishing, resetting or significantly improving a PMO


• Strong technology/product portfolio experience including Azure DevOps experience


• Excellent portfolio governance and delivery assurance capability


• Experience with resource/capacity planning and project financials


• Confident working directly with CTO/CPO/Board-level stakeholders


• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge


• Comfortable operating as a highly autonomous, hands-on PMO Lead

Up to £85,000 ( may be flexible)
