Qualifications

  • At least two years’ PMO experience in Project Support or Business Analysis.
  • Industry experience in Engineering and/or Consulting services preferred.
  • Interest in the UK Aerospace and/or Defence sectors is advantageous.
  • Awareness of financial concepts such as budgets and forecasts.
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets.

An exceptional Project Support Analyst required to join RINA's Project Office, accountable for supporting the effective delivery of Aerospace and Defence (ASD) Consulting projects in the UK. RINA's ASD business unit has circa 300 projects active at any one time and you will be a key player in coordinating projects, project planning, performance analysis and structured reporting to help ensure projects are delivered to time, cost and quality. This role is Chippenham based, but RINA is a smart working environment, where you can manage your time flexibly between home and the office. You may be required to occasionally travel across the UK in support of project and customer needs.

Project Delivery Support
  • Input and maintain the accuracy of project budget data, held in the business management systems (BMS)
  • Create and maintain project baselines (scope, schedule, cost) and monitor progress against them
  • Prepare project meeting materials, schedule meetings, and record minutes to reinforce effective project governance
  • Support Project Managers in maintaining awareness of contractual requirements, scope boundaries, and approved changes, helping ensure project delivery remains aligned with client commitments
Project Performance & Reporting
  • Collect, validate, and analyse project data including schedules, financial performance, progress updates, risks, and issues
  • Prepare regular and ad‑hoc reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for the PMO and ASD management team
  • Highlight variances from baselines and support investigation of root causes and corrective actions
  • Support month‑end processes, including preparing revenue accrual information and updating project forecasts in collaboration with Finance
Client Interaction & Support
  • Support preparation of bids, proposals, reports, and updates for client meetings
  • Where required, participate in client discussions alongside Project Managers, helping ensure consistent communication and professional engagement
  • Help maintain clear and timely communication with clients by supporting Project Managers in preparing structured updates and reporting outputs
Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to the enhancement of PMO tools, processes, templates, and reporting methods
Qualifications
  • At least two years’ PMO experience, either in Project Support, Project Controls or Business Analysis
  • Preferable industry experience in Engineering and/or Professional/Consulting services; demonstrable internal and external client‑facing interactions
  • No sector specialism required, but an interest in the UK Aerospace and/or Defence sectors would be advantageous
  • Qualification in one of the following: APM PMQ, APM PFQ, APMG Project Planning & Control or PRINCE2 is desirable
  • Awareness of financial concepts such as budgets, forecasts and invoicing
  • Knowledge of business management software and ERP applications such as SAP, MS Project and/or MS Dynamics CRM or SalesForce
  • High competence of MS Office Suite; mainly Excel & Powerpoint
  • Demonstrable experience of being highly organised, ability to succeed in fast‑paced environments and the ability to interpret complex data sets
  • Due to sensitivity of the work we deliver, you will either have existing Security Clearance, or must be a British citizen, willing to undertake the vetting process
