PMLD Teaching Assistant - Specialist Setting

We are pleased to be recruiting a dedicated and compassionate PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a specialist setting in Cranleigh. This full-time opportunity is well suited to an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs.

Responsibilities
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with PMLD
  • Using appropriate communication strategies and sensory-based resources
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
  • Encouraging pupil engagement, independence, and emotional wellbeing
  • Maintaining a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications
  • Has proven experience supporting pupils with PMLD or complex needs (essential)
  • Is patient, compassionate, and resilient
