Part-Time Personal Assistant

About the Person

A 14 year old boy living in Pont-Y-Gwaith area. I live with my parents, and my two sisters aged 18 and 12 along with our 2 friendly small dogs. I am seeking a personal assistant to support me out in the local community. I have a diagnosis of autism and ADHD, I struggle to recognise risks and keep myself safe so will require support in this area. I usually go out with family but I am looking forward to gaining some independence and developing my social skills without my family.

Purpose of the Job

To support and assist me out in the local community.

Rate of Pay

£12.50 per hour

Hours of Work
  • 3 hours a week during term time to be worked on a Saturday
  • 6 hours a week during school holidays to be worked on a Saturday
Tasks Can Include
  • Taking me swimming
  • Going to the cinema
  • Going to the park
  • Occasionally going for food at Harvester/McDonalds

About the Job

This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.

All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.

Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.

Wages will be paid on a four-weekly / monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
