Responsibilities

• Support me out in the community, encourage my independence and living skills.
• Teach/assist me to engage in my surroundings and to learn from them.
• Outings to KFC or McDonalds.
• Having fun with me! Making the most of our time together.
• Ensuring my safety at all times, providing constant supervision.
• Although I cannot swim, I still like going to see swimming pools.
• Using your car to take me places of my choice.

This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This post is subject to an enhanced police check (DBS) and training may be required if identified by the employer.

About Me

I am a non-verbal 10-year-old boy with ASD. I live with my family in Pontypridd. I have no sense of danger when it comes to safety. I need constant supervision with all activities and when out in public. I'm an easy-going child but need time to process any instruction you give me. I have a habit of putting non-edible objects in my mouth but my attention can be redirected if you replace that object with a small toy.
