Overview

I am a 38 year old man living in the Pontypridd area. I like to be out and about as much as possible and enjoy cycling, walking, watching films in the cinema, tenpin bowling, going out for food and a drink and I like shopping. I was diagnosed at five with Asperger’s syndrome and learning difficulties and I do get anxious and can worry a lot. I previously had support from the National Autistic Society but the office has since closed.

Purpose of the job

The purpose of the job is to give respite to my parents and to give me support to access activities in the community.

Rates of pay

£13.50 per hour and 10 miles per week

Hours of work

4 hours per week available. Will be worked on a Friday during the day ideally 12pm – 4pm or 1pm – 5pm

Tasks can include
  • Supporting me to access activities in the community.
  • Taking me to the cinema.
  • Going out for a walk with me.
  • Taking me out to a local café.

About the job

This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.

All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.

Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.

Wages will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
