Overview

Part-Time Personal Assistant to a 17 year old girl living in the Llwynypia area. The individual has physical and global developmental delay, uses a walking frame for short distances and has access to a specialised wheelchair. The person also has a diagnosis of ASD and enjoys swimming, outings to take-away venues like McDonald’s, and shopping.

Purpose of the job

To support access to the community, enable participation in activities, and help develop social skills and independence.

Pay and hours

Rate of pay: £13.30 per hour plus 40p where applicable.

Hours of work: 6 hours per week available.

Tasks can include
  • Taking me swimming
  • Going out shopping with me
  • Taking me for food in places like McDonald’s
  • Supporting me to enhance my independence and social skills

About the job

This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.

All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.

Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.

Wages will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
