2:1 FEMALE Personal Assistants

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 13 year old girl living with my family in Llanharry. I have a diagnosis of Autism, communication difficulties and sensory needs. I enjoy attention, tickles, food and treats. I absolutely love going on drives, maybe with my wheelchair to visit the cinema, stroll along Barry sea front or visit St Fagans. I don’t like going on the beach but will mainly express my likes and dislikes.

Purpose of Job

Initially my mum would like a sit-in service until we feel comfortable with more. Then the PA could join us out and support my mum whilst we are out.

Place of Work

At my home and in the local area of Llanharry

Hours of Work

• 9 hours 30 minutes per week term time
• 11 hours 30 minutes per week school holidays
• 2:1 support
• Ideally weekend hours, but driving me in the evening is beneficial
• Happy to work out hours for the right PAs; flexible

Rate of Pay

£15.00 per hour

About the Job

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check, which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
