JOB DESCRIPTION

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 19 year old boy living in the Porth area. I enjoy going to McDonalds, the cinema and swimming. I have ASD and it can take me a while to warm to you. I am looking for PAs who are outgoing as I enjoy being out and about.

PURPOSE OF JOB

I am looking for two Personal Assistants for 2:1 support, to help me be as independent as possible and accompany me to do things I enjoy in the community.

HOURS OF WORK

7 hours per week

3.5 hours per week for each PA, to be worked during the week after school.

During the school holidays, the days/times are negotiable.

RATES OF PAY

£12.50 per hour, plus mileage for the PA that be driving

TASKS INVOLVED

To help me be as independent as possible
Accompany me to do things I enjoy
Support me while eating out plus with going swimming and to the cinema

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

Reliable and punctual
Encouraging, patient and outgoing
Experience of children with additional needs
One PA to be a sensible driver, with business class insurance

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
