Job summary

ElecMech MEP Ltd is seeking an experienced Plumbing Engineer to join our growing team in Gloucester. You will undertake plumbing installations, maintenance and repairs, working independently and alongside our electrical and mechanical team to deliver projects safely and to a high standard.

The role involves installing hot and cold water systems, sanitaryware and associated pipework, carrying out first and second fix installations, diagnosing faults, reading drawings, planning work and ensuring

Qualifications

• Recognised plumbing qualification (NVQ Level 2 or 3) or equivalent.
• Experience in plumbing installation and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good fault-finding skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, professional approach and good communication.
• Full UK driving licence; willing to travel to project sites.
• Gas qualification would be very beneficial.
• Experience on commercial projects; knowledge of unvented hot water systems advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain hot and cold water systems, sanitaryware, sinks, water heaters and pipework.
• Carry out first and second fix plumbing installations.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs.
• Read drawings, plan work and identify material requirements.
• Test installations and check for leaks and operation.
• Communicate with clients, site teams and other trades.
• Keep work area tidy and complete job records.
• Follow company and site health and safety procedures.

What we’re looking for

• A recognised plumbing qualification, ideally NVQ Level 2 or Level 3, or equivalent.
• Relevant experience in plumbing installation and maintenance.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good fault-finding skills and attention to detail.
