About The Role:

We are seeking a NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualified skilled plumber to join our maintenance team on our commercial site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing DHW and CWS systems in an industrial setting.

You will work independently or as part of a team to ensure that plumbing systems are safe, reliable and meet the requirements of the Water by laws.

To take a direct interest in the health and safety of yourself, your subordinates and others who may be affected by your work activities and to ensure the safety of all OCS and Encirc staff and visitors to the premises.

Days of working:

Day shifts usually but may be occasional late, early and weekend work.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain and repair plumbing systems including water systems, pipe work, sinks, sluice fixtures and equipment.
  • Inspect plumbing components, identify faults and troubleshoot issues.
  • Read and interpret plans, technical diagrams and schematics ensuring they are updated.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations while working with plumbing systems.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, technology advancements and best practices in plumbing work.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • You should meet the following criteria as a minimum requirement for the role.
  • Proven experience as a plumber in an industrial setting.
  • Valid plumber license or certification.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • An IPAF and PASMA licence is expected but not essential. Must be willing to be trained.

  • Ensure quality resolution to all customer queries, requests and complaints within agreed timescales. Any issues that cannot immediately be resolved should be reported to your manager.
  • To achieve 100% accuracy within all aspects of the job role.
  • To adhere to all OCS company policies and procedures and to be aware of the Encirc policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that any defects or damage is reported to your supervisor immediately.
