Job summary

RNN Group's Rotherham College is seeking a Plumbing Skills Tutor to join the Work-Based Learning team in Rotherham. This role blends teaching with hands-on mentoring to develop apprentices into qualified plumbers and gas engineers.

You will deliver engaging sessions, help shape Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours, conduct on-site assessments, and track progress via e-portfolios, supporting learners and employers across South Yorkshire.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in a relevant plumbing trade.
• A1/V1 Assessor Award is desirable.
• Level 5 Teaching Qualification or willingness to work towards it.
• Strong experience in Plumbing and/or Gas engineering.
• Ability to build strong relationships with learners and partner organisations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver creative, engaging sessions that bridge workshop and site.
• Develop Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs) for employers.
• Conduct on-site performance reviews and assessments for apprentices.
• Track progress through e-portfolios and keep learners and employers on track to success.
