Plumbing and Heating Engineer (Somerset)

Salary: 41740 plus benefits and additional allowances. Field-based with regular travel across Somerset. Hours: 39 hours per week (Mon - Fri). Permanent Role. Closing date for receipt of applications: 23.01.26(Midday).

The role & what you take care of:

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Gas Safe registered Plumbing and Heating Engineer with experience to join the Magna team. From the initial job report to its completion you will play a key part in delivering works to a high standard whilst meeting our customers needs and complying with current legislation. The role encompasses a diverse and rewarding working routine with great benefits a company van uniform and all trade relevant power tools supplied.

• The purpose of this role is to carry out central heating works including installation and servicing to diagnose faults and resolve heating/plumbing related problems to a high standard.
• You will be required to be on call once every 10 weeks for which you will receive a generous standby allowance.

What you need to be successful:

• Together with a high level of fault-finding ability & diagnostic skills you will feel comfortable working independently or as part of a team committed to overcoming any scenarios that may arise on a daily basis.
• Ideally experience of Social Housing or working in a similar environment would be advantageous although alternative sectors will be considered.
• Understanding how to use a mobile iPad device together with a geographical knowledge of the Dorset & South Somerset area would be preferential.

Other requirements:

• This post is subject to a basic level Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check. A full driving licence is essential.
• Essential Qualifications: ACS accreditation, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1.
• Advantageous Qualifications: COMMERCIAL GAS, OFTEC, HETAS, Air Source heat pumps.
