A modern and forward-thinking university in Pontypridd is hiring for a full-time maintenance position. The successful applicant will oversee heating, plumbing, ventilation, and cooling systems across campuses while working with a dedicated team. Our academic focus spans Computing, Engineering, Science, Creative Industries, Life Sciences and Education. The Estates and Facilities department oversees the operation of the University Estate, comprising over 70 buildings across five sites, including Pontypridd, Cardiff and Newport.
The post holder will be based in the Maintenance Team within the Estates and Facilities department. The successful applicant will be responsible for the effective and efficient operation and control of heating, plumbing, ventilation and cooling systems throughout the University and will work as an integral part of a direct works team of university craftspeople performing maintenance, new construction, refurbishment, restoration and works on all University campuses.
This is a full‑time role.
If you are a successful candidate and this position will be your first professional services role at the University (or you are currently employed by PSS Ltd), you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and Colleges.
