JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Plumber / Plumbing Engineer with experience in installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems including water, heating and drainage.

As a Plumber / Plumbing Engineer you will be part of a collaborative maintenance team, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard while following health and safety guidelines. The role requires strong problem‑solving abilities, excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to working both independently and as part of a wider team.

DUTIES
  • Install, maintain and repair water, heating and drainage systems, including pipes, valves, drains and fixtures.
  • Diagnose faults: identify and fix issues promptly and effectively.
  • Plan and measure: calculate time and materials required for each project with your line manager.
  • Ensure compliance with current plumbing regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, building managers and other trades as needed.
  • Maintain standards: keep all work areas clean and safe, protecting fixtures and furniture.
  • Record keeping: accurately log materials used and purchased.
  • Travel to support other sites and respond to emergency call‑outs.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience of plumbing installation, maintenance and fault finding.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures.
DESIRABLE
  • Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing and Heating.
  • Experience in gas engineering or heating systems maintenance.

This role requires a DBS check.
