Job Plumber (Level 3)
Location: HMP Send, Ripley Rd, Ripley, Woking. GU23 7LJ
Salary: £43,177.30 per annum
Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 39hrs per week, Mon-Fri

We are seeking a level 3 qualified Plumber to join our team at HMP Send, a closed adult female prison, in the role of Mechanical Engineer – Plumber.

As a Mechanical Engineer you will work alongside experienced colleagues (plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners, administrators) to maintain a safe and secure environment for prisoners, employees, and visitors. You will support the smooth operation of the prison facilities and contribute to rehabilitation and positive change.

  • C&G 6189 Plumbing and domestic heating
  • C&G 5962 Certificate in Plumbing (Advanced craft)
  • C&G 6019 Mechanical Engineering services (plumbing)
  • C&G 6018 Heating and ventilation installation
  • C&G 6129 Certificate in Plumbing
  • C&G 214 Engineering systems maintenance
  • C&G 6188 Heating and ventilating
  • C&G 6088 Certificate in heating and ventilating
  • C&G 6032 Advanced craft certificate in plumbing
  • EAL Diploma in Plumbing and Heating
  • Experience with commercial or industrial heating, water, or building service systems
  • Unvented water heater vessel course G3 – Highly desirable
  • Two years' experience as a plumber or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  • Knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
  • L8 awareness training – Desirable (Provided if required)
